Scouting Report
EVALUATED 09/09/2020TPE Hockey
One of the more underrated USHL players is Eamon Powell. Many have raved about his teammate Jake Sanderson, so Powell has flown under the radar. He may not have lit up the scoreboard, but he made his impact in each game. Powell is an extremely fluid skater. His strides are long and complete which allow him to derive the maximum amount of power he can from each stride. This allows him to play a very mobile defensive game. The Boston College commit puts a priority on defense, and his swift skating along with crafty stick work lets him control his area of the ice. Powell excels at preventing dangerous shot attempts against his team. Offensively, Eamon has yet to put major points on the board, but his strong play in transition, solid passing and skating gives him potential to improve as he goes to the NCAA.
