Scouting Report
EVALUATED 22/01/2021Chase Allen
Jack Devine is one of the youngest 2003 born skaters making him a 2022 NHL draft eligible. Devine is an offensive force, putting up 26 points in 29 games for the USNTDP in the USHL in the 2019/2020 season at only 16 years old. Analyzing Devine’s game, you will notice he is a very good skater, with elite agility that allows him to maneuver around defenders. His elite hands, coupled with his skating ability makes him a dynamic playmaker who can create plays from seemingly nothing. Devine’s shot is good, but there is room for improvement to make him more of a dual threat. Defensively, he is a smart player who does the little things to help his team win. Devine had a 10.14% EV/GF% Rel in the 2019/2020 season whilst playing in the USHL with the NTDP. Physically, he has time to mature to assure his transition to the NCAA is seamless as he plays against stronger competition. Devine has committed to the University of Denver for the 2021/2022 season and is expected to be an immediate impact player who likely goes top 10 in the 2022 NHL Draft.
