Day 2: 2021 USA Hockey Select 16 Camp - The product of Nesconset, NY was perhaps the most effective player on the ice in this game, and undoubtedly the most effective in a two-way sense. Renkowski was a reliable backchecker, and in fact often seemed to substitute in as a third-defenseman. His ability to defend the rush, and subsequently support his defenseman during the breakout is very mature and highly projectable. On the offensive side of the puck, he was able to leverage his quickness to either get through or around traffic with the puck securely on his stick, and then drive himself powerfully to the middle of the ice. He earned Navy’s second goal of the game on a play which started by him making a nifty backhand pass to the high-slot from the half-wall, and then charging the net for the rebound. His timely chip shot beat the goalie to cap off the play.

Game Information
2022 USA Hockey Select 17s - Black vs Columbia Blue
Although he didn’t have the biggest impact in this game, Logan Renkowski’s strengths in transition puck skill at a high pace and puck protection ability were factors in earning Team Columbia offensive zone time at various points in the game. He remains a difficult player to knock off of the puck and should have a bigger impact as he gets used to playing with his current linemates and learning how he can best utilize his skills to deliver offense with them
